Future-Oriented Innovations

Future-oriented innovations include innovative technology, products, and firms which can enhance the lives of individuals. They can improve the efficiency of sectors like healthcare and space technology, or increase a company's competitiveness. To produce them, it requires an enormous amount of effort from different high tech technique stakeholders. It also requires a paradigm shift and an epistemic awareness. It is crucial that the management and staff of a company are open to taking note of trends over time and taking note of them.

The most common barriers to fostering future-oriented innovation are fear of the unknown or change, and the focus on short-term gain. In organizational settings these can be overcome by encouraging a growth mindset, promoting the culture of innovation and creating a sense future goal for high tech strategy employees to strive towards. This is commonly described as phronesis which is the belief that people need an incentive to take difficult decisions in their work and it can result in greater retention rates of employees for businesses that are geared towards the future.

There is growing evidence that innovation ecosystems can benefit from a better understanding of the possibilities for the future. This can be achieved by infusing foresight into innovation ecosystems, expanding structural ties between research programs and strategy building processes, and enhancing overall understanding of the possibilities by incorporating diverse perspectives in dialogue. The foresight wheel model is an approach to methodological development that can respond to the needs of the market in a way that is both effective and adaptable. This article outlines a novel method for developing future-oriented innovations.
